2012 Ford Focus Electric first to achieve 100 MPGe

The 2012 Focus Electric is the first all-electric vehicle with seating for five to achieve a 100 miles per gallon equivalent (MPGe) fuel efficiency rating. This beats out rivals such as the Nissan Leaf with 99 MPGe and the Chevrolet Volt's 93 MPGe.
