57 chevy bel air

Well folks, here she is, my first new model of 2012, my 57 chevy bel air. Firstly, I would like to say a big thanks to modelcarjr, your listing of all the pro's and con's when you built your gorgeous 57 was an absolute godsend; I did experience the same problems as yourself but I was prepared for them thanks to you. Thanks very much.

My main idea for this model was to build a replica of a beautiful 57 that I saw parked up outside the Tropicana hotel in Las Vegas. However, the more I was happy with the paint finish on the car, the more reluctant I was to actually put any decals on the doors as was on the real car in case I ruined the paintwork and ruining my model. So therefore I eventually decided to build it to my own plans. Just for the record, the paint is Tamiya Italian red and Tamiya Gloss white for the roof and the rear view mirror dice are a set from Kens Kustom dice range. Although I havent gone into as much detail as some other people may have done, I hope you enjoy looking at my first ever 57 chevy build and as usual, all comments are welcome. Thanks for looking.
