Honda/Acura Super Sports Concept: The NSX Lives!

In addition to the three concepts shown at the Tokyo Auto Show, a senior executive of Honda R&D promised that Honda would show a super sports concept sometime in the next year. Rumors that the on-again, off-again NSX successor would be built were given new life by the prospect of a concept car that could be shown as early at the Detroit Auto Show in January. While Honda is pushing a new line of hybrids and pure EVs, it is also promising fun cars and the Super Sports Concept figures prominently in the company’s efforts to remake its image. Its likely that the concept, rather than being a conventional V-8- or V-10-powered supercar, will likely be a hybrid primarily powered by a V-6, as in the original NSX.
